Terms and Conditions
for EDGEWORK
These Terms and Conditions govern the business terms, as well as the rights and obliga-tions between EDGEWORK, as the organizer, and the participants and coaches.
General
EDGEWORK organizes ice hockey camps. With professional coaches the participants are optimally supported. Every effort is made to offer the camp participants varied camps so that they can benefit as much as possible and improve their own ice hockey skills.
Validity
These Terms and Conditions govern the rights and obligations between EDGEWORK and its participants and coaches. Contradictory agreements and individual arrangements are only valid if made in writing; otherwise, they will be considered as not having taken place.
Conclusion of Contract
The overview of available spots provided on the EDGEWORK website is merely an invitation for participants to apply. Participants can register online. Once the order is confirmed and paid for, the registration becomes binding, and the Terms and Conditions described herein are fully accepted by the participants and their legal representatives. Participants and legal representatives are required to provide all necessary information during the ordering process completely and truthfully.
The Terms and Conditions described herein are fully accepted by the coaches upon signing the coaching contract.
Registration
To register via the website, participants must complete the registration form on the website. In order to ensure participation, the form must be completed fully and truthfully by the participants or their legal representatives.
Order Confirmation
After completing the registration process, participants will receive an order confirmation by email. This will contain important information regarding camp participation. Shortly before the booked date, participants will automatically receive a reminder email.
Services
The services are outlined in the announcements on the EDGEWORK website. However, these may be adjusted or changed by EDGEWORK at any time if necessary.
Camp Requirements
The specific requirements for attending the camp are listed in the camp descriptions. These must be carefully reviewed. The number of participants is limited in the interest of the camp's success. In case of overbooking, the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of participants lies with the organizer. A rejection does not need to be justified. The teams are selected based on talent levels. The goal is to create the strongest possible roster.
Payment
Payment for camp participation is made directly through the website and exclusively via credit card or Twint. In the event of a rejection according to paragraph 7, the organizer will refund any payments already made to the applicants.
Arrival and Departure
The arrival and departure to the courses/camps are at the participant's own expense.
Cancellation, Withdrawal, Non-Attendance of the Camp
Cancellations must be made in writing.
Cancellations within 48 hours of booking will be accepted without a processing fee.
In case of cancellations due to injury or illness, it is the responsibility of the participants to secure cancellation insurance for such cases. EDGEWORK will not provide refunds in these situations.
Cancellations up to 21 business days before the camp starts allow the spot to be transferred to another person with the same skill level and age group. Personalized items (e.g., training jersey, foot mat, water bottle, backpack, towel, etc.) must be taken over by the new participant, including the size for the training jersey. It is recommended that a personal training jersey be brought. The transfer of the spot must be communicated to the respective participant in writing.
In case of non-attendance or last-minute cancellation (0-20 business days before the start of the camp), no refund will be issued, and the total cost will be charged to the participant.
Equipment
Participants must bring their own complete ice hockey equipment. It must be in good and safe condition. The equipment regulations of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation (according to IIHF regulations) must be followed. Additionally, off-ice training clothes for all weather conditions, indoor shoes, a yoga mat, and a stick-handling ball must be brought.
Mobile Devices especially Smartphones
The use of any mobile devices, especially smartphones, is not allowed during training sessions or in the changing rooms. This rule is intended to promote the concentration and safety of the participants, as well as to protect the privacy of the athletes. All devices, especially smartphones, must be kept on silent in the training bag. In case of violation, the camp management reserves the right to confiscate the devices and return them only at the end of the camp day. Mobile devices, especially smartphones, are allowed during lunch.
Insurance
Participants are responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage. Health, accident, and liability insurance are mandatory and the responsibility of the camp participants. EDGEWORK does not provide specific insurance and cannot be held liable for injuries, accidents (including severe and/or long-term effects), theft, loss, damage, or other contingencies.
EDGEWORK explicitly recommends purchasing cancellation cost insurance.
Liability
It is expressly stated that participation in the camps is at the participant’s own risk, and accidents and injuries during sports activities, as well as in daily life and the associated program, cannot be excluded even with the utmost care. EDGEWORK disclaims any liability for itself or for persons it commissions, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. This applies particularly to injuries and accidents, as well as the loss or damage of money, valuables, and other items brought by participants.
Exclusion from Camp Participation
In the case of violations of camp rules and/or inappropriate or unsportsmanlike behavior towards participants, camp staff, or the venue's personnel, the camp management is entitled to exclude participants, at its discretion, from the camp, either partially or entirely, with immediate effect. There is no entitlement to a refund of the camp fee. The return journey is to be arranged at the participant's own expense.
Camp Cancellation
If a camp cannot take place due to force majeure or insufficient registrations, any payments already made will be refunded to the customer with the highest possible amount, after an internal analysis of fixed costs incurred through external services and infrastructure that cannot be undone. Participants will be promptly informed in any case.
Privacy Policy
By registering, participants (and, for minors, their legal representatives as holders of parental authority) agree that EDGEWORK and its commissioned third parties may take film and photo recordings of the participants and their sports activities during the camps, training sessions, and events, and that EDGEWORK may use and publish these recordings free of charge for their communication and marketing purposes.
Amendment of the Terms and Conditions
EDGEWORK reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions for future camps at any time. The version of the Terms and Conditions in effect at the time of contract conclusion will apply. The current Terms and Conditions will be published on the EDGEWORK website.
Jurisdiction
The Terms and Conditions are exclusively subject to Swiss substantive law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For all disputes arising from or in connection with this contract, the ordinary courts at the location of Sarnen/OW will have exclusive jurisdiction.
Language
In the event of disagreement between the German and the English version of these Terms and Conditions, the German version shall prevail.
